Rating issues
This game features a Battle mode, which comprises five different games in which players can use various power-ups to stop their opponents, including by freezing them or knocking them off the stage. However, this does not cause any visible injuries and opponents are simply knocked backwards or off screen, after which they respawn. In one game, players must roll into inanimate robots to destroy them, while in another game bombs explode, causing monkeys to be launched into the air inside their balls. Again, no actual harm to the monkeys is shown.
Other issues
This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items in the form of DLC (downloadable content), which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.
After completing online matches with other players, players may enter a ‘Lucky Monkey Lottery’, which rewards players with a cosmetic item. However, it is not possible to purchase additional spins.
