Violence in the game mostly consists of humans and apes shooting guns at each other. One of the more pertinent scenes features an Orangutan who is handcuffed to a pillar and beaten with a lead pipe for information. The player has the option to step in and stop the beating, or encourage it. There is another scene in which a woman throws a spear at an ape, resulting in the ape being impaled through the chest.
