Your robot character can get hit by different types of hazards. When this happens the robot explodes and the screen fades letting you start at a check point without delay.

Other issues

The theme of the game is set around a fictional war between monsters and robots. There are no battlefields displayed, but it gives the game a somewhat darker tone.
