The game features realistic violence towards fantasy characters, which appear as small armoured figures. They have to navigate a series of obstacles, such as spikes, flames, and spinning blades. Hitting the spikes will cause a squelching sound and a yell from the character, who goes completely limp. In this game, it is often beneficial to kill your characters over and over: dead bodies remain in the scene, so that you may clamber over them to avoid spikes or position them to hold down buttons.
