Rating issues

This game contains depictions of strong, realistic-looking violence towards human and animal characters. Players can shoot and kill animals such as deer. Animals will screech in pain and moderate blood effects spray out. Additionally, the player character, a human woman, can be attacked by various creatures. She will shout and recoil when hit, sometimes leaving blood stains on the ground. Her health is indicated by a health bar in the top left of the screen. When it is depleted, she will groan and fall limp. The player then gets the option to reload at the checkpoint.

This game also contains the use of strong language, including ‘fuck’. Milder bad language is also present, including ‘shit’ and ‘bastard’.

Other issues

This game contains moderate horror sequences and disturbing imagery throughout. Dead bodies are depicted in scenery, often with blood surrounding them. Masses of flesh that look similar to intestines appear in areas in the game. Additionally, the game centres around themes of cults and human experiments which result in monstrous abominations. There is a focus on stealth and noise, as the player has a visual indicator of how much noise they are making each time they move. Creatures can detect noise and will attack the player if they hear them.
