The player’s character is tasked with assassinating various targets, including by shooting, stabbing and strangling them, with resultant blood effects. In some cases, the violence is more sadistic or graphic in nature, including thrusting a sword through a character’s head, which then emerges from their mouth, and lodging an axe in a character’s head before using your foot to pull the axe out. There is an emphasis on the use of stealth in order to avoid detection.
While the objective is to assassinate specific targets, the player’s character can also kill innocent civilian characters. Blood effects are shown, and their bodies remain on the floor until the end of the level. These characters may attempt to flee, when they realise they are in danger, but they can still be killed as they try to escape. The game does not reward the player for such acts and killing innocent characters negatively effects your score.
Assassination can involve the use explosive devices which when they explode will kill or injure all characters within the vicinity including innocents. Similarly, the indiscriminate use of an automatic weapon will result in a great number of innocent characters being killed.
The game also features frequent use of strong language (‘fuck’).
Other issues
This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of additional content such as DLCs offering new missions etc. Users can see and chose specific DLC packs and then are taken to the Store Front owner to finalise the offer. Some parents or carers may want to be aware of this. Parents, carers, or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.
