This game contains pictures and sounds likely to be scary to young children. The game is set in a dark and spooky land where the Sun has disappeared. The game is cartoonish with a creepy twist. One of the player characters has a part of his brain on show, but it is not depicted in a gory way. Coffins and skeletons appear in the scenery. The player controls two characters, a humanoid zombie boy (Gloomy) and a human girl (Nena), who must navigate the landscape whilst avoiding other characters like zombies and humans that are looking to capture Nena and Gloomy.

This game also contains depictions of violence of a minor nature towards human characters that does not result in any obvious injury or harm, as well as non-realistic violence towards fantasy characters. When controlling Nena, the player can be grabbed by zombies if they get too close. Nena will be dragged closer, and the checkpoint will restart. Additionally, the player can occasionally injure the more fantastical-looking zombies by casting sunlight onto them, causing them to recoil. In one scene, the player throws a bone at a zombie’s head and the zombie flinches and bangs its head, causing it to hold its head in pain.
