Seventeen years after a global nuclear catastrophe, civilization re-emerges from the chaos to find a world dramatically changed. In Hope County, Montana, the remaining populace has gathered into different groups, each with their own rules for survival.

Rating issues

This game contains strong violence, which includes a character being beaten to death with a motorcycle helmet and another character being stabbed through the throat with a shard of a broken plate. There is an instance of violence towards a vulnerable and defenseless character as a character is shot through the back of the head whilst tied to a chair. The player can also shoot innocent civilians at will. This game also contains use of the word “Fuck” and its derivatives.
