All violence in the game is aimed at space ships. You can use a wide variety guns, rockets and fantastical weapons to take out your opponents. When you defeat another space ship, it explodes into pieces which slowly disappear. The game clearly states that these ships are piloted by other inmates. You don’t actually see these pilots. Therefore the violence is implied.
