One area in the game is a ghost town. When visited at a certain time during the night, players hear spooky sound effects, including haunting music, creaking doors, whispers and ringing bells. Nothing actually happens, but the sounds may be unsettling and scary to young children.
Other issues
This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of cosmetics and additional items and content, such as fishing rods or new areas to explore, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.
There is also use of very mild language, such as ‘damn’ and ‘heck’, as well as some lines of cheeky dialogue, such as “Butter my butt and call me toast”. There is also some word play, such as a T shirt reading ‘WTF – Where’s the Fish’ and another saying ‘I’d rather be f—–g’, accompanied by a picture of a person fishing. It is clear that the word being used in each case is ‘fishing’ rather than anything stronger.
