This game has received a PEGI 18 which restricts availability to ADULTS ONLY and is not suitable for anyone below this age. This rating has been given due to graphic violence, motiveless killing of innocent characters, violence against vulnerable and defenceless characters, and strong language. Not suitable for persons under 18 years of age.
Role-playing game in which players must fight against an ancient evil that has returned to Baldur’s Gate.

Rating issues

The strongest examples of violence occur during cut scenes. These include a scene in which a human character is tortured on a rack, while a hot poker is also applied to his body, causing him to scream in pain. Another scene shows a human-like character strapped to a chair with his brain exposed. The brain is then ripped from his head.

Violence within gameplay features blood spurts, which are occasionally exaggerated in nature, particularly when stealth attacks are made from behind a character.

There is infrequent use of strong language (‘fuck’).
