Fighting game in which players create their own avatar and then engage in arcade battles with other players, chat with fellow fighters or sit back and watch live matches on the big screen. This release includes the base game and two expansions, ‘World Tour’ and ‘Fighting Ground’, as well as additional characters, 4 additional stages and 18 character outfits.

Rating issues

This game contains frequent depictions of non-realistic looking violence towards human-like characters. During fights, bright lights and magical effects appear when characters are hit, with a health bar showing the character’s status. When a character takes damage, their health bar depletes. When a character’s health bar fully depletes, they fall to the floor and the round ends. Some mild bruises and scratches can be seen as the fights progress. However, the exaggerated reactions to the violence reduce the realism of the violence.

This game contains the use of bad language, including ‘bastard’, ‘bullshit’ and ‘piss’.

The player is able to access a gallery in the game, which contains images of all of the characters. One image, in particular, sees a female character posing suggestively.

Other issues

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items in the form of in-game currency and cosmetic items such as character skins which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.

There are frequent references to both alcohol and smoking in the game. The player is not able to actively consume these substances.

In the gallery of the game, the player comes across still images of characters fighting. Some of these images depict large amounts of blood splatter.
