Following the death of the previous Overlord, players will take on the role of one of the four Netherghuls; undead servants of the dark arts hell-bent on reclaiming a world swallowed by the forces of good.

Rating issues

Violence itself is fairly mild with groups of human heroes entering your dungeon to attack your minions. No injuries are shown but once killed, corpses will remain visible for a long time, often in a puddle of their own blood, in order to affect a sense of realism which can impact on the overall game rating.

Other issues

The game features online playing capability which may involve real-time interaction with other players.
