Rating issues
This game contains depictions of non-realistic violence towards humans, with characters showing no pain reactions when hit, and only a flashing light and health bar depleting. Stabbing scenes show blood but with limited realism due to the cartoon and pixelated nature of the game. Similarly, restrained characters are hit or kicked with mild, unrealistic reactions.
Blood-covered corpses are often seen littering environments. This could be disturbing to some players. There are also some characters whose designs may be scary to younger players.
This game also contains the use of bad language, including ‘bastard’, ‘piss’, ‘shit’, ‘bloody’ and ‘arsehole’.
Other issues
This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items in the form of character skins and equipment, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.
There are depictions of nudity in a non-sexual context. Some male characters are depicted topless, and there are a few statues that show females with visible breasts. This is not sexual in nature.
During the game, there are mentions of opium smuggling and slave trading. No images are ever shown of this; this is all spoken about through text and dialogue.
The game has references to gambling. One of the books in the game tells the story of the life of a gambler through text. During this story, if the player fails to help the man, the text references that as the man becomes so in debt, he ends up taking his own life. No images are seen of him doing this.
There are moments in the game in which characters are seen drinking wine or sitting in a tavern. Players can never actively make a character drink or interact with alcohol.
