‘Metal Slug 4’ contains depictions of arcade style violence featuring blood and gore. Gameplay has players controlling the protagonist in hostile military operation environments, shooting and killing waves of enemy soldiers to progress. Red blood effects appear on the impact of hits, causing enemies to grunt and fall to the ground before vanishing. During some attacks you can see these characters breaking into bloody chunks, with some showing dismemberment.
