The game features depictions of violence of a minor nature towards animal characters that does not result in any obvious injury or harm. When killed, the player will either explode into coloured dots or be crushed/eaten with some splatter detail. During cutscenes, the octopus engages in slapstick battles, such as choking a seagull. Implied violence includes collapsing buildings and a chef threatening the octopus with weapons, followed by a screen cut to black when an attack is imminent.

Several characters in this game have designs that may be scary to younger players. Sea creatures often have glowing eyes and sharp teeth, and when the player tries to evade them, intense music plays in the background.
