Action-adventure game, the second title in the ‘Batman: Arkham’ series, in which Batman must explore Arkham City, a super-prison encompassing the slums of Gotham, in order to uncover the secret behind the warden’s sinister project, ‘Protocol 10’.

Rating issues

The game features strong and realistic violence throughout. Gameplay includes hand-to-hand combat against multiple enemies, as well as the use of bats and other weapons. Cutscenes also feature violence, including people being shot or stabbed, with realistic reactions but no visible blood. One scene shows a restrained character being hit, although he is able to fight back, while other scenes include a character falling from a height and prisoners being struck with an electric bat.

Other issues

The game also includes use of bad language, including ‘bitch’, ‘prick’, ‘piss’, ‘bastard’, ‘bloody’, ‘ass’ and ‘screw’. There are also references to alcohol.
