This game was rated PEGI 12 for infrequent scenes of mild language and scenes younger children may find disturbing. It is not suitable for persons under 12 years of age.
In Stifled, the sounds made by your in-game character and yourself through microphone input reveal the otherwise hidden world through ‘echolocation’. However, undue noise will attract the attention of creatures lurking in the darkness. To survive, you will have to tread the line between making sounds to see, and staying quiet to stay hidden.

Your character is blind and primarily navigates their world by sound. Monsters lurk in the dark and respond to the noises you make when finding your way around. Violence is non-graphic and consists mainly of them grabbing you in first person view. The screen flashes red and scary sounds can be heard which younger children may find disturbing. Mildly offensive language is rare but does include the word ‘goddamn’.
