This game has been rated PEGI 12 for depictions of non-realistic looking violence towards human-like characters, depictions of realistic violence of a minor nature towards human-like characters, and scenes of strong sexual innuendo. Not suitable for persons under 12 years of age.
The Sims 4 Discover University brings the Sims to University. The player can enroll in one of two universities, the University of Britechester or the Foxbury Institute.

Rating issues

This game features depictions of non-realistic looking violence towards human characters. Characters can die in various different ways throughout the game, such as electrocution, drowning or being set on fire, all of the deaths are over exaggerated and non-realistic. A notification that appears at the top of the screen announces the character’s death. This game also features sexual innuendo, Sims can partake in an activity titled “WooHoo” which is the game’s version of sex, two characters will proceed to the bedroom and get under the covers, movement is shown and sounds such as moans can be heard as love hearts and firework effects come off the bed. In this expansion the Sims can now “WooHoo” in a shower cubicle.

Other issues

This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game virtual currency called Moola, which can then be used to purchase items for builds, as well as Kit Packs, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers, or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.
