NFL Flag Heroes is a flag football game licensed by the NFL and developed for the Nex Playground console. Players can play as official NFL teams, in an anime-like visual style.

Players compete in matches using motion controls to select plays, catch and pass the ball, sidestep opponents and run down the field. Players progress through competitions from high school level to the NFL Championship by winning matches and increasing their rank.

The game features no depictions of physical violence. Flag football is a non-contact sport, and players cannot tackle or deliberately collide with or push other players. Defenders can run towards opponents and attempt to remove the flags from their belts, which ends the opponent’s play. Players are not shown being hit, falling over or otherwise being harmed.
