Rating issues
This game contains depictions of apparently motiveless killing and serious injury to multiple innocent characters. Players are able to kill multiple innocent civilians in some towns and cities that are densely populated. The game will allow you to kill a limited number of innocents before the game ends and the player is desynchronized, forcing them to start from the last save point.
This game also contains the use of strong language, including ‘fuck’ and its derivatives. Milder bad language is also present, including ‘bastard’ and ‘shit’.
Other issues
Violence towards humans and animals in this game is strong and realistic. In both cutscenes and real-time combat, characters recoil from hits and there is a large amount of blood that covers their bodies and surroundings. The player can execute finishing moves that show characters being stabbed or slammed against walls and surfaces. There are also some scenes where characters are hanged, but those scenes do not show any graphic depictions of pain or injury. There is also no dismemberment as a result of the violence.
There is prominent use of alcohol in this game. Players can purchase alcohol at specific vendors, and their character is shown drinking a flagon. If players continuously purchase and consume alcohol in quick succession, the camera becomes distorted and the player character stumbles.
This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items in the form of cosmetic and functional in-game items, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.
