Rating issues
This game contains sustained depictions of strong violence towards both human-like and fantasy characters. When hit, enemies will groan. Small blood splashes are seen on impact. When defeated, the enemy falls to the ground. Bodies remain on the ground after death. Robotic enemies will break apart into metal pieces when defeated. At one point in the game, a ghostly apparition holds a gun to their head and pulls the trigger, taking their own life. A blood stain is seen on the wall throughout the scene. If the player is killed during the game, a grunt is heard as the camera pans to the ground and then cuts to black. The player then respawns in their last save point. Violence will often be implied through the game, with scenes in which characters are shot or killed off screen, while screams are heard.
Strong gory images are present, with some areas of the game containing a large number of human corpses alongside heavy amounts of blood; some of these corpses are dismembered with visible bone. There are also images of corpses that are seen hanging from the ceiling with no visible blood. An eery atmosphere is present throughout the entirety of the game.
Other issues
This game also contains the use of bad language, including ‘shit’.
Bottles of alcohol and packs of cigarettes are seen frequently throughout the game. The player is able to add these items to their inventory. Players can then click on these items, and a slurping or coughing sound is heard but no animations are shown of the player consuming this.
During the game, the player will find a casino which contains slot machines and tables. If the player tries to use a slot machine, text at the top of the screen will indicate the player losing money as the slot machine spins. This machine does not show the player how to gamble or bet and/or glamorise gambling.
Some sexually suggestive material can be found in the game. The player can enter an area referred to as “sensual stimulation units”. While in here, the player hears an audio recording of a man who talks about “not getting caught with your pants down… except in this place”.
