Rating issues
This game contains depictions of realistic violence towards human characters. In one scene, a woman shoots another. A splash of blood is seen on impact, before the character falls from a height. Most of the violence in the game is implied. As the game is played from a first-person perspective, when the player is attacked or injured, the camera will pan towards the ground to indicate the player falling and then the scene cuts to black. The player does not see the effects of this violence on themselves.
This game also contains the use of strong language, including ‘fuck’. Milder bad language is also present, including ‘shit’, ‘bastard’ and ‘piss’.
Other issues
This game also features disturbing images, including human corpses littering the environment with blood splatters on the ground next to them. There is a creepy atmosphere at some points in the game that may be scary to younger players.
The premise of the game is that a plastic pollution is causing an illness in humans called ‘plastemia’, a sickness that turns the body into plastic. In order to slow down this effect on the body, the player must consistently find and consume a fantasy medical drug called “ozen”.
Bottles and cans of alcohol are seen in some environments and some NPCs consume these. The player is not able to interact with these substances.
In one of the islands that the player visits, the player is made to take part in a race and is encouraged to wager some of their “scraps” on whether or not they will beat the speed of the previous player. This does not actually teach the player how to gamble or bet and/or glamorise gambling.
At points in the game, the player will see human bodies who have fallen victim to “plastemia” and have died as a result of this. Their bodies appear to be nude, but no details such as nipples or genitals are seen. This is not sexual in nature.
