Rating issues
This game contains sustained depictions of death or injury to human, animal and fantasy characters. Health bars are seen overhead, which reduce on each hit. Small splashes of blood are visible. The sounds of swords clanking and some grunts are heard. When killed, characters fall to the ground and their bodies sink downwards, disappearing completely. A skeleton will often be left In their place. Blood remains on the ground. All the violence is shown from a distant top-down angle. The player does have the ability to zoom into the action; however, it is still somewhat distant.
Other issues
This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items in the form of links to external storefronts where players can purchase extra DLC, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.
This game also features some images that may be frightening to young children. At one point in the game, while on board a ship, a character brings out a box. When the box is opened, a decapitated head falls out. There is no blood or gore detail, but some younger players may find this disturbing.
There are references to wine, but no consumption is seen and the player cannot interact with this.
