GreedFall: The Dying World

Players control a native from Teer Fradee, who is kidnapped and brought to the old continent, as a future slave. After escaping, players meet some companions, and with them, face off an antagonist who wants to use the native magic to create creatures and bend the world.

Rating issues

This game contains strong, realistic-looking violence towards human characters. Depictions of violence tend to be stronger in cutscenes, such as a scene where a woman is stabbed in the abdomen as she cries in pain. The camera shows the knife sticking out of her back and there are moderate blood effects. The turn-based combat tends to be more unrealistic as the camera is further away; each character has a health bar and damage numbers appear when hits land. There are blood effects, but they can be hard to see. Some combat also involves fantasy creatures.

Other issues

This game also contains the use of bad language, including ‘shit’, ‘whore’ and ‘bastard’.

There is sexual innuendo present throughout the game, with dialogue references to brothels and ‘whorehouses’. There are also romance scenes that depict the player character and their love interest kissing passionately. The two climb on the bed and the love interest climbs on top. The camera then fades to black and skips ahead. No nudity is shown.

There are some dialogue lines that imply themes of sexual violence. No sexual violence is depicted.

There is some moderately disturbing imagery such as sight of bloodied or burnt corpses.
