The Midnight Walkers

This game has received a PEGI 18 which restricts availability to ADULTS ONLY and is not suitable for persons under 18 years of age. This rating has been given because it features graphic violence.
First-person extraction shooter in which players explore a massive, multi-floor building known as the Liberty Grand Center. The objective is to collect valuable loot, acquire better equipment, fight off both zombies and rival survivors, and successfully extract before time runs out.

Rating issues

This game contains depictions of graphic violence, including dismemberment towards human-like characters. As players walk around, they will frequently encounter zombie characters whom they must kill. Splashes of blood are seen on impact as the zombie jerks backwards. Slash marks are seen on the zombie’s face and body. The player is also able to decapitate zombies with the final killing blow. This is accompanied by large splashes of blood. The body of the zombie then falls to the ground, and the dismembered head bounces to the ground. All corpses remain on the ground after death. If players are attacked by zombies, their character will be heard grunting in pain as a splash of blood is seen. This is all shown from a first-person perspective. The player’s health bar reduces at the bottom left of the screen.

Other issues

Strong, gory images are seen frequently throughout gameplay with zombies seen crawling through vents with their lower body having been severed. Intestines, bone and entrails are visible as they crawl across the ground. Blood splatters are often seen in the environment.

The game includes depictions of tobacco use. The player lights and smokes a cigarette from a first-person perspective in order to restore health to their character.
