Rating issues
During the end-credits of the game, a series of cinematics and images are seen. One of which sees a man sat on a sofa, before being shot in the head. His body jerks backwards and a large amount of blood sprays. The man’s head is decapitated from his body as a result of this. Most of the violence in the game is sustained arcade-style containing blood. As the player walks around the environment, they attack pixelated, non-detailed humans. A grunt is heard as the humans fall to the ground. Large, pixelated blood splatters appear on the ground. Cuts are seen on some of the characters bodies and bodies remain on the ground after being killed. In the opening sequence to the game, a man in a zebra mask is seen holding a chainsaw. The camera then pans to a man in the shower, screaming, before blood comes from his mouth. Blood splatters appear over the screen.
This game also contains the use of strong language, including ‘fuck’ and ‘fag’. Milder bad language is also present, including ‘shit’, ‘bastard’ and ‘bitch’.
Other issues
References are often made to alcohol and tobacco, as well as illegal substances such as heroin. The player does not ever interact with these substances.
One of the characters in the game is a priest. During his chapter, the player learns that they were accused of abusing children. No depictions or descriptions are given of this.
Disturbing images are found throughout the game, with blood covered characters and corpses littering the environments. Some of these corpses are cut in half. Images are small, pixelated and non-detailed. At one point, a still image is seen of a real man in a bathtub covered in blood. There is no excessive gore, and the man’s head is covered by a shower curtain.
Some nudity is seen in the game with a man being seen in the shower, with no visible genitals. Later on in the game, players come across a massacre where a few corpses are seen lying on the ground, covered in blood. Their bodies are nude with visible male and female genitals, though these images are pixelated and non-detailed.
