Rating issues
The game contains depictions of graphic violence, including dismemberment towards human characters. At points in the game, the player will be chased by a man with a chainsaw. If the player is caught by him, he cuts them and dismembers their arm with copious blood effects. Violence towards vulnerable and defenceless characters is seen during a cutscene at the start of the game with a man restrained in a bath as he burns alive. He is heard screaming in pain. Most of the violence in the game is realistic towards both human and fantasy characters. When players attack enemies, large splashes of blood are seen on impact and the creature squeals in pain. When killed, they fall to the ground.
This game contains the use of strong language, including ‘fuck’ and its derivatives. Milder bad language is also present, including ‘shit’, ‘piss’ and ‘bastard’.
Other issues
Players have the option to adjust the censors on the game, meaning that they can blur the more intense scenes or they can choose to have more gore in the game.
During some cutscenes, characters are shown drinking alcohol. The player is not in control of this.
Strong, gory images are seen frequently throughout the game with dismembered heads impaled on sharp sticks as well as large monsters with visible organs. At points in the game, the player will be chased by a man with a chainsaw. There is a sense of dread as the player must run away to evade being killed. Blood stains and corpses are regularly seen in the environment.
Some nudity is seen when two characters wake up at the start of their respective chapters.
