This game contains the use of bad language, including ‘bastard’, ‘bitch’, ‘piss’ and ‘shit’.

Mild sexual innuendos are spoken by the madam of the brothels on the islands, including “The men need a little… distraction, wouldn’t you say?” and “What a big shipyard you have there, captain. I look forward to seeing your magnificent vessel.” The player does not see the inside of the brothel or the work that goes on there.

Other issues

This game contains scenes of naval combat featuring cannon fire between ships, leaving nothing behind but wreckage in the water. No harm is seen to any characters.

The player must manage the wants and needs of the workers in the settlement, which includes building facilities such as Hemp Plantations, Rum Distilleries and Opium Dens. The sound of pouring can be heard in Rum Distilleries, and inhaling/exhaling in Opium Dens, but no consumption of rum, opium, or hemp-based medications are depicted.
