Rating issues

This game contains depictions of graphic violence towards human-like characters. Players can cause damage during combat, whereby limbs or heads are amputated. Corpses can be seen after death with visible bone and flesh at the site of injury. There are also cutscenes where NPCs die in horrific ways, such as their heads exploding. These acts of violence are always accompanied by large amounts of blood. The game also contains depictions of apparently motiveless killing or serious injury to multiple innocent human-like characters. Players can attack any NPCs, and innocent NPCs will cower or run away. In populated areas, the player can kill multiple seemingly innocent humans, especially when using automatic weapons. There are also depictions of violence towards vulnerable or defenceless human-like characters, such as a scene where the player can actively choose to save or kill two hostages that are restrained behind a glass window. If the player chooses to kill them, they are crushed by a hydraulic press, which causes large amounts of blood to cover the window.

This game also features the use of strong language, including ‘fuck’. Milder bad language is also present, including ‘shit’, ‘bastard’ and ‘bloody’.

Other issues

There are frequent references to fantastical drugs, but none bear resemblance to real-world drugs. Players can craft different inhaler recipes to use during combat that give health and other positive buffs. Players can purchase and consume alcohol for a small health boost. Players can also pick up cigarettes but they can only be used in crafting or can be sold to vendors.

There is some sexual innuendo in dialogue.

There is a background related to being a ‘gambler’, but it only serves as a tool in dialogue options rather than a functional trait. There is no option to gamble in any kind of casino setting or any other scenario.
