Rating issues
This game contains depictions of strong, realistic-looking violence towards human characters. Often, if the player makes an incorrect decision, they will be shot by an NPC. When shot, characters jerk backwards when hit and clutch at their chest. Blood is seen on their chests as they fall to the ground. A cutscene also depicts a man being hit by a car; the car swerves into the man. The man is seen across the hood of the vehicle with blood coming from his nose and mouth. He then slumps to the ground before he is dragged away. The game also contains instances of implied violence. At the start of the game, a clown character plants a bomb disguised as an accordion in a café. The player sees this happen before an explosion and a blast of smoke is then seen coming from the café. The player does not see any characters being injured during this (aside from one silhouette that flies in the air).
Other issues
This game contains the use of bad language, including ‘bitch’, ‘bloody and ‘dick.
There are a few references to both tobacco and alcohol in this game. Characters are often seen both smoking and drinking throughout the game. At times, the protagonist asks NPCs if they would like a drink, and then is seen getting drinks for them. There is a moment in a bar where the player is able to click on a beer, which will make the protagonist drink repeatedly. However, no side effects seem to occur as a result of this, nor does the player receive any benefits for doing so.
This game also features pictures and sounds likely to be scary to younger players. The player will often find themselves in environments that have an eery feeling to them. Corpses are also seen in environments, some with blood present on their torsos. At the beginning of the game, a clown character suddenly appears from behind a balloon, and their appearance may be frightening to young children.
This game also features some sexual innuendo. At one point, a man and woman are discussing a potential suspect. The woman responds, “I know plenty of men with Italian suits and bulges in their pockets.” The game also contains depictions of nudity in a non-sexual context. In one scene, the protagonist enters a costume shop, where the player will see a headless mannequin sporting nipple-less breasts.
