Rating issues

The violence in this collection is predominantly of a minor nature towards human and fantasy characters that does not result in any obvious injury or harm. During combat, when enemies are hit, they will flash a different colour, while number damage appears. Upon death, fantasy creatures disappear completely. No blood or injuries are seen here. Human characters give no realistic reactions when hit; instead, again, number damage appears here. When a human character loses all of their HP, they “faint” and are seen lying on the ground with stars circling above their head. At one point, a splash of pixelated blood is seen during combat, as well as number damage, although the human does not make any pain reactions at all. The most pertinent violence in this game occurs during a cutscene in which a monster lunges at a human character and bites them. The human is seen and heard yelling in pain. The man falls backwards as a large spray of blood is seen coming from off-camera.

This collection features numerous instances of sexual posturing. Women are often depicted in revealing outfits or completely naked (breasts are covered by hair), and the player has access to a gallery of images that show the women in various scantily clad outfits and are sometimes posed suggestively.

This collection also contains the use of bad language, including ‘bastard’, ‘bloody’, ‘screw’ and ‘piss’.

Other issues

There are several references to alcohol in this collection. Characters are, at times, portrayed as being drunk. The player is not able to ever interact with alcoholic substances.

Several of the fantasy characters in this collection have designs which may be scary to younger players. During combat, atmospheric music accompanies this. In ‘LUNAR 2: Eternal Blue Complete’, the history of the world is told via carvings on the wall. These images depict people on a battlefield, many of whom are seen with swords and/or spears piercing them. Blood and gore detail is not depicted.
